This was one of the more enjoyable projects. It is a copper etched image. The way this is handled is you apply a thin layer of tar over your copper plate; then you cut away the tar you wish to have etched. And depending on how long you allow it to stay in the acid batch would define how dark and formed the etching is. If I remember I did around five to ten acid baths to get this image.
Background:
I am a cat lover, mainly large cats. Black panthers have always held a power
over me (thus the fictional name of my company "Black Panther Enterprises"),
but my favorite cats have always been white tigers. While contemplating this
project again I was required to return back to the collection of pictures I
own. Mostly because I cannot draw, and I'm not a fan of abstract art (It
grates on me very badly). Thus, I stumbled over this image which I felt I
could work if I forced myself to be patient.
